Eligibility and Age

The Arunachal Pradesh Judicial Service Category in Grade-III. The pay scale for these positions is Rs. 77840 - 136520 per month plus other allowances.

Eligibility

  1. Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a degree in law granted by a recognized University established by law in India.

  2. Age Limit: As of the last date fixed for receipt of applications, candidates belonging to Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribes (APST) must not have completed 38 years of age.

  3. Citizenship: Candidates must be citizens of India.

Additional Eligiblity

  1. Not have been dismissed from service by any High Court, Government, or statutory/local authority.

  2. Not have been convicted of an offence involving moral turpitude.

  3. Not be permanently debarred or disqualified from appearing in any examination or selection conducted by the High Court or relevant commissions.

  4. Not directly or indirectly influence the recruiting authority for their candidature.

  5. Not have more than one living spouse.

Exam Pattern

The exam pattern for the Arunachal Pradesh Judicial Service exam is as follows:

  1. Preliminary Examination:

    • Type: Objective type multiple-choice questions.

    • Duration: 2 hours.

    • Total Marks: 100.

    • Selection for the Final Written Examination: Candidates who obtain marks above a specified cut-off will be eligible to appear for the Final Written Examination.
       

  2. Final Written Examination:

    • Type: Subjective or Descriptive

    • Candidates: 10 candidates will be called against 1 vacancy in the ratio of 1:10 from the rank-wise list of marks of the Preliminary Examination.

    • Selection Criteria: The High Court reserves the right to fix a cut-off mark in the Preliminary Examination and call only those candidates who obtain the cut-off mark for the Final Written Examination.
       

  3. Viva Voce Examination:

    • Eligibility: Candidates who obtain sixty per cent or more marks in the written Examination shall be eligible. APST candidates who obtain fifty per cent or more marks in the written examination are also eligible.

    • Marks: The viva voce carries 70 marks.

    • Selection: This will be subject to the ratio of 1:3 of the rank-wise list of marks obtained by the candidates in the Final Written Examination.

    • Minimum Marks: Candidates shall have to secure a minimum of 60% marks in the interview.
